Tony Machado is a seasoned visual storyteller with a proven history of guiding design from ideation to completion. Tony excels in managing teams and fostering a collaborative, creative and entrepreneurial environment. He brings a unique ability to translate brand identity into tangible guest experiences while delivering cost-effective solutions.

Recently dedicated to a transformative role repurposing and reimagining owned assets for Lubert-Adler with a focus on iconic properties such as the historic Bellevue Hotel and The Battery in Philadelphia, along with the Islander Resort in the Florida Keys. Prior to LUCID, Tony served as Senior Vice President and Head of Design at Starwood Capital Group / SH Hotels & Resorts where he played a pivotal role leading all aspects of design for strategic growth of the 1 Hotel, Baccarat and Treehouse brands, overseeing their expansion from a handful of US hotels to an impressive international portfolio.

A California state licensed architect, Tony’s educational background includes studies at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture in Florence, Italy, and earning a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Environmental Design from San Diego State University.
